Through our financial assistance program, PBDA seeks to offer access and opportunity to qualified students from a broad socio-economic background with demonstrated financial need.
Need-based financial assistance is confidential and bridges the gap between what a family can afford and the cost of tuition. Financial assistance is determined through the analysis of a family’s financial resources, including income and assets. Financial Assistance applications are processed through Smart Aid. The Smart Aid Application fee is $35.
Families must complete their Financial Assistance application and submit all necessary supporting documentation by the noted deadline to the right. Smart Aid will begin accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year on November 1, 2023.
It is important to note that PBDA may not be able to accommodate all financial assistance applications in a given year. If a family does not receive financial assistance for one year, they may apply for assistance in subsequent years.
Families must reapply for financial assistance for each year the student is enrolled. For families reapplying, an award is subject to the successful completion of the school year for both conduct and academics and the family’s continued support of the mission of PBDA. Awards cannot be made unless the family’s account in the Business Office is up to date for the current school year. If a family’s financial circumstances remain the same, the school will make every effort to assist them at the same level.
