Lower School Early Childhood Teacher

Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent, coeducational school serving 583 students from age 2 to Grade 8 on two campuses. The Lower School, which teaches students in Pre-Primary – Grade 3, seeks a talented and energetic full-time early childhood teacher to start in the 2025-26 school year.

 

The candidate chosen for this position will plan and implement the curriculum using a variety of teaching approaches within a co-teaching collaborative model. The candidate must be able to plan and conduct whole group and small group lessons that meet the needs of the students. A strong background is essential in all areas that are taught at the early childhood level. The candidate should be able to encourage and support student-driven learning and value the student's experience. Flexibility, creativity, a sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for being a committed team member are all critically important.

All applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the Early Childhood level is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as comfort with integrating technology into the curriculum, are essential.
