About Me
I was born in
Augusta, Georgia and have spent most of my life in sunny Florida. I was
a PBDA student from kindergarten through the 8th grade and my
father was the former Headmaster of the school from 1965-1988. I
graduated from Cardinal Newman High School and obtained my
nursing degree in 1990.
Prior to coming
back to PBDA, I worked in several different hospitals in various
specialties including oncology, labor and delivery, and
medical/surgical . I also spent several years as a charge nurse on
a 60 bed surgical/step down unit. I was appointed as the school nurse
in 1996. Along with my nursing responsibilities, I also assist in
coaching the upper school girls/boys sports, and teach in the Human
Growth
& Development program.
My husband,
Dale, and I have been married since 1986 and have 3 beautiful children
(Peter, J.T., and Catherine). I love animals and especially dogs. I
have 2 male and
2 female miniature dachshunds (Shiloh, Sammy, Sadie, and Lady).
My interests
include working out at the gym or at home, shopping, and being actively
involved in my church. As one can see, there is never a dull moment!
