E-Club Dress
Out of Uniform and E-Club Dress Requirements - Upper Campus
When announced, out of uniform days require neat and appropriate dress. In recent years, fashion changes have produced standards of casual dress which are simply inappropriate for our school. Clothing that is either sloppy or loose-fitting (no sweat-pant type design) or, in contrast, tight, too form-fitting or revealing (see-through fabric or low-cut blouse) is inappropriate. Unless specifically announced for a special occasion, blue jean denim is not permitted on out of uniform days for grades 4 - 8. It is a privilege for 9th Graders only. The faculty will direct and supervise accordingly. We will not hesitate to insist that students change their dress or go home, if we deem it inappropriate. The matter should not become an issue if students will apply sound and conservative judgment and parents will offer good advice and control before students come to school inappropriately dressed.
1. Shirts with full collars or ladies' dress shirts are permitted. No t-shirts or tank tops. Girls' shirts must cover mid-section at all times including sitting, standing, and moving about..
2. Pants and shorts are permitted for boys and girls. (No jeggings or skinny jeans) Girls may wear skirts or dresses. Leggings are permitted only if the top worn over them is no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. If shorts are worn, they must be dress Bermuda shorts no shorter than four inches above the knee and no longer than 2 inches below the knee. Athletic shorts are not permitted. Capri or crop pants are permitted for girls. Girls' skirts must be no shorter than three inches above the knee.
